We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of man, who lived on earth, died on the cross and rose from the dead so that we could have eternal salvation and live as God's children.
We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. The New Testament is our primary guide in matters of faith and practice, as illuminated by the Holy Spirit. We unapologetically affirm the fundamentals of the evangelical tradition.
We confess that we are sinners who have been forgiven through faith in Christ. We have chosen to literally obey the teaching of Jesus and the apostolic witness with emphasis on the following:
- Acceptance of sinfulness as the basic condition of humankind and the absolute necessity of spiritual transformation (the New Birth) in order to enter God's Kingdom. Simply reforming is not enough.
- The Church is Christ's body on earth. It is made up of those who have been regenerated and committed to the Lordship of Jesus and to each other.
- A commitment to practice reconciling love in all relationships from personal to global; to peace and nonresistance in all areas of life, including the renunciation of force (militarism) and the preservation of human life from conception to death.
- A life of cross-bearing discipleship that includes nonconformity to the world (modesty and simplicity) and the acceptance of the divine order for home and church authority.
- A concern for the spiritual and social welfare of our global neighbors as we declare Jesus as Lord above all nations, race and possessions.
